This marketing framework is called AIDA. Let's share what its stands for.

A is for Attention; Our first job is to grab the Recruiter's Attention within 6 secs. This is to SAVE your resume from getting LOST. Here 90% of the resumes fail.

The next one is I for interest. If you want the Recruiter to focus on your resume, only grabbing attention will not help. Some sections of your resume can be game changers. If you succeed, the Recruiter will save or download your resume.

Then comes D for Desire. The actual conversions start from here. The change of mind for the Recruiter happens from "I like it" to a strong desire of "I want it" state by shifting the interest.

Once the Recruiter likes your resume, the next is to prompt the Recruiter with actions you want the person to take. When you insist on actions, any human mind directs towards that action. So here, A stands for action!

Now you can relate entirely to the meaning of the AIDA as Attention, Interest, Desire & Action. I will explain how every section of your resume will play a role in leading the Recruiter to the desired outcome of shortlisting YOU for an interview.

The more you apply this formula, your chances of getting shortlisted will enhance & you will find success.

Welcome to the third chapter of this micro course. Now you have learned the AIDA framework. In the following lessons, I will connect each resume element to AIDA to help you understand how these resume elements work to deliver better results to get more interview calls.

Now, we will deal with elements to grab the recruiter's attention. If you fail to get the attention in the first go, your resume will be rejected forever.

We will refer to the header section of your resume, as we always start reading anything from the top.

Two elements seize our attention immediately after we open the resume.
#1 Profile Image
#2 Resume Headline

If you make these with the rules I am sharing here, you can quickly grab recruiters' attention.

Let me address Profile Image first; you need to click a professional image keeping these five things in mind.

#1 Keep enough light on your face & stand against a plain background.
#2 You should look straight at the mobile phone camera.
#3 You should always wear a smile, a broad smile
#4 Professional attire is a must; avoid any casual outfit.
#5 You should be in a good mood; your energy reflects on your face

Place your profile image in the top left corner of the resume.
Now let me show you some sample images for better understanding!

The next crucial factor is your resume headline! You start reading a newspaper from the headline, right? I hope our experiences are the same.

In the same way, your resume Headline will be Crisp and straight to explain three things about you. Your professional experience, expertise, and your current role.

Let me clarify role is not your designation given by your company but your Responsibility Level.

All these need to get compiled within a sentence of a maximum of 12 words; this might look difficult initially, but multiple corrections will help meet perfection.

Please refer to the bonus templates attached to this course to find multiple sample headlines for almost every function, you may choose yours and amend them accordingly.

Once you create yours, please share your resume headline in the comment for my expert advice. Do not forget to use relevant keywords of your function or expertise in the headline.

In the previous video, I covered two factors from my #7 elements formula of High Converting Resume. Profile images and Resume headlines that can Grab instant attention.

The next step is persuasion; here again, I will address two other elements from the resume,

#1 Your About section and
#2 Your Skills

The about section comes after the headline, and the skills appear next to the about section. Some resumes let you mention skills on the sidebars; this also works fine.

Write a compelling about within a maximum of 6 sentences. Most people make mistakes by making a long “about” section that no one reads.

The about section is an expansion of the headline that you begin your resume with.

Typically, it contains your Story, career objective, and expertise. It should focus on why you should be hired. Try writing it a few times to get perfection, as this section is critical to raise interest & initiate selling your resume.

Let me show examples of the about section; you may alter this text slightly to fit yours. However, I have shared some samples of the about sections in the bonus templates.

The next element is your skills. Here I recommend putting Management skills rather than traditional Soft and Hard skills.

Remember, recruiters look for talents that can withstand the changing business scenario, deliver under the pressure of deadlines, and resolve their business problems; if the business is super smooth, they may not need you.

You must share your top 6 skills that may justify your fitment.

Let me share what I mean by Management & conceptual skills.

As you grow in ranks, use more of your Conceptualisation and Human skills rather than your technical skills. I mean skills like Creativity, Presentation, public speaking, solution orientation, program management, etc.

Let us now explore how to fuel the Desire of the Recruiter to shortlist you after we have raised interest in the following video.

Welcome to the fifth chapter. In previous chapters, we covered four elements of a High Converting resume: Profile Image, Headline, About Section & your skills.

In this chapter, I will discuss a delicate element that works with the recruiter’s mindset. We need to bring the shift from the "Like your resume" to the "want it" Stage.

This chapter deals with one most important factors of the AIDA framework, I.e., Interest. I will share a different tangent about the two other resume sections here: Experience & Recommendations.

Most make mistakes by showcasing how much they know the job or their technical expertise in their experience section.

Presumably, you must have acquired the knowledge with years of experience in your function. But is it enough to put you under the spotlight?

Do not forget that 100 others share the same experience as you, the difference you can make with the Outcomes you have delivered to the business, and your success stories with believable examples.

Let me share some examples of how you can present your achievements and success stories. I am sure you will get enough ideas to build yours.

The Second element is something that usually does not strike your mind. Most of the resumes do not feature recommendations. I am not talking about just praises but where people have applauded your unique qualities.

You may have collected recommendations on LinkedIn. I would suggest sharing the top three recommendations with supportive keywords at the bottom of the resume to raise the recruiters' interest.

I assure you these upgrades in your resume will fetch attention and compel the Recruiter to shortlist you. You can easily position yourself within the top 10 profiles as no one else crafts their resumes meticulously & is unaware of these secret techniques.

You may get your top trending skills from your profile on LinkedIn or in Naukri that have features to suggest skills in your domain.

In the next chapter, I will share the last of #7 resume elements that will help you to prompt the Recruiter to take the actions on your resume.

I have learned the term "Call to Action" from Marketing strategists and found it most powerful when we market our profiles, aka Resume.

You might hear this first, as no one relates CTA to job hunting! This secret strategy works wonders; I am revealing it to you today!

Let me explain this concept. When you apply for a vacancy, the Recruiter insists on your application, that is, Calling for your Action or CTA. When you apply, it serves the purpose of the Recruiter.

Now, after you apply, do you keep any expectations from the Recruiter?

Of course, if you want your Resume to get shortlisted & you get notified. You need to know the outcome of your application.

I doubt anyone is thinking along these lines about spelling out what YOU want.

Most applicants presume that their part of the job is over after their resume is shared. They have no option to get reverts from the recruiter.

Let me share how you can prompt a CTA to a recruiter with two significant effects.

#1 You will create options for future engagements and
#2 You will kindle the emotion of the Recruiter.

Now how to build a CTA for a Recruiter? I have three ideas.

#1 Mention the Clickable LinkedIn Profile link at the top of the Resume with a CTA "Follow me." Generally, recruiters do social profile checks. You prompted by sharing your LinkedIn ID. So, you just created an opportunity for the future channel of communication. LinkedIn shares the “who visited your profile”; if the recruiter has searched it, it will show.

#2 Draft a Pain Letter. Earlier, we used to attach a cover letter in the form of an email body or a printed one. This has evolved into a pain letter addressing the generic business pain you could resolve! Volunteer in the letter to share the formula that effectively resolves the pain the company might be facing in the same industry. Generally, this works as a great CTA.

#3 Propose a meeting: Write why this company is unique for you in the pain letter towards the end. Suggest a conversation to share your unique ability to deal with the challenges to yield better results for the company.
